During his Townhall meeting at IIT Delhi, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg tackled the burning question of how to stop Candy Crush invites head-on. Even as he joked about this question, which people often ask him on his Facebook page, he said that the Facebook teams in-charge of the game invites etc is looking into the problem.
"This is why Townhall meetings are so important," Zuckerberg joked when asked about how people on Facebook can block the annoying Candy Crush invites. But he then added, "when a lot of people upvoted this question on my Facebook page I got in touch with the team that looks after this aspect and asked them if people care about this, if it is concern for them, then this needs a solution. We are working on a solution."
Candy Crush, a popular game, has a life system. Once a player is out of lives, one way to get more lives is by inviting friends to play the game. This means almost every Facebook user has faced the annoying requests from their friends, asking them to play Candy Crush.
But now that with Zuckerberg assuring a solution, Facebook users may soon get a mechanism through which they will be able to filter or block game requests, including requests made for Candy Crush.
Zuckerberg did not specify any timeline to roll out such feature. But if Facebook team is already working on it, you can expect it in a few months.
